SUOMMO is a European luxury house of nursery creations, founded in 2008 by the Valencian designer Ximo Talamantes and made in limited numbers for families around the world. Known as Baby Suommo in its early years, it made its international debut at the Kind + Jugend fair in Cologne in 2010.

Its cribs, bassinets and high jewellery for babies have been covered by national broadcasters, leading newspapers and specialist titles in more than 60 countries and territories.     Daily Mail · MailOnline · The Daily Mail followed SUOMMO across several stories. On the Dodo Bassinet in solid 24-carat gold, it explained that each crib takes six months to make, that it can be engraved and personalised with an insignia in diamonds and gold, and that its bedding combines wild silk, Pima cotton and gold-thread embroidery; in the words of its designer, London is one of the house's most popular markets, with orders arriving from all over the world. It also presented the Doll Bottle, inspired by Russian dolls and crafted in 18-carat rose gold and diamonds by the house's most experienced jewellers, with the matching Dodo Dummy, whose chain lets a mother wear it as a pendant or brooch.     TVE · La 1, ‘Gente’ · Spain's national broadcaster devoted a report on its daily magazine programme to Spanish-made cribs chosen by international public figures, with the Dodo Bassinet as its centrepiece. The cameras lingered on the creation's sculptural, egg-shaped silhouette and on bedding made to measure for each family, embroidered by hand and finished with crystals, as commissions arrived from abroad for a house creating from Spain for the world. ABC described chests of drawers without corners or handles, weighted at the back so they cannot tip over, wardrobes and changing tables in the finest lacquered woods, and the egg-shaped Dodo Bassinet, made in several editions up to solid gold. The report followed the house from its first handcrafted pieces to a presence in more than 60 countries through showrooms, agents and personal shoppers, its growth through the fairs of Germany and Paris, and its new chapter in China, with investment in Shanghai and Beijing. Its centrepiece was the Dodo Bassinet Solid Gold, which its designer called the house's boldest jewel: a creation that transforms into a monumental sculpture where dreams are sublimated.     Pronto · Spain's best-selling weekly magazine told the story of a designer who, on becoming a father, found too few houses devoted to luxury and exclusivity for children, and so created SUOMMO.
